Resolve with Rovo in the work item view

Resolve with Rovo is available with Rovo on Standard plans and above. Your administrator controls whether your team sees it.

When you open a work item in the new view, an AI-first work item view appears at the top, above the description. It uses Atlassian Intelligence to help you understand the request quickly and decide what to do next, so you spend less time reading through a long history and more time working on and resolving the work item.

It has two parts: a Work item summary, and a section below it that helps you work out how to resolve the request.

Rovo Summary

The work item summary gives you an at-a-glance overview, generated from the work item's title, description, comments, and similar past work items. It typically covers:

  • the symptoms the customer reported

  • the scope of the issue — who and what is affected

  • how long it has been going on

  • the likely cause, based on similar work items your team has resolved before

The work item summary shows when it was last updated. If a work item has had a lot of activity since the summary was generated — for example, if you have been working it for a while — select Refresh to generate a new summary that takes the latest changes into account.

If you don't see a summary yet, Atlassian Intelligence may not have found enough relevant detail in the work item to generate one. Add or update the work item details and select Refresh to try again.

How to resolve the work item

Below the summary, you get help to resolve the work item. What you see adapts to the request:

  • when a resolution plan exists for the request, you see a step-by-step plan to work through, and

  • when no resolution plan is available, you see suggested steps generated for the work item instead.

You can act on the steps directly from the work item. Only the agent assigned to the work item can edit a resolution plan.

Suggested next steps list the sources Atlassian Intelligence used to generate them, so you can check where the suggestions came from. You can also give feedback on whether the suggestions were helpful.

Show or hide the section

You can collapse the section if you'd rather not see it on a work item. When you collapse it, it stays collapsed for you across that project, so you won't need to collapse it on every work item. Expand it again at any time to see the work item summary and the resolution help below it.

A project admin controls whether the section appears. Select Space settings, then Features, and turn on AI focused work item view.

Turning off AI focused work item view returns the work item to the old view and its existing components.

If the section is turned on for your space but you still don't see it, check with your administrator.

データの使用

The work item summary and suggested next steps are generated by Atlassian Intelligence, which must be enabled for your site. Rovo is a prerequisite for this feature.

  • What it uses: the work item summary and suggested next steps are generated from the current work item's title, description, and comments, and from similar past work items.

  • Permissions: content is fetched using the permissions of the person viewing the work item, so the summary and suggested next steps never include anything you couldn't already see.

  • Storage: generated content is held in temporary storage for up to 7 days, then cleared. No new data is stored permanently.

  • Turning it off: there is no separate user-level opt-out when Atlassian Intelligence is enabled for your site, but you can collapse the section at any time.

AI 機能の責任ある使用

The work item summary and suggested next steps support your decision-making but don't replace your judgment. Review them alongside your team's expertise and your organization's policies before you act. As with any AI-powered feature, if the results seem off, refresh the summary or check the work item details for clarity.
