Find models in the register
Hardware asset management is available with Jira Service Management Premium and Enterprise.
To find models in the register, you must have hardware User or Administrator permissions, as well as Assets view permissions on the hardware schema where your data resides. The register only shows the models you can see.
The Models tab lists your model catalogue in one register, so you can see every approved model and drill into its details_._
View the model catalogue
In the left navigation, select Hardware.
From the tabs at the top, select Models.
The register lists your models with columns such as Key,Name,Model number,Manufacturer,Chassis type,Release date,End of life,End of support, and Standard warranty. Pagination (for example, Showing 20 of 50) shows how many models are displayed.
Select a model to open its details, where you can see the full set of attributes such as chassis type, warranty, and lifecycle dates.
Sort and choose columns
Select a column heading to sort the register by that column.
Use the column options to choose which columns appear in the register.
Filter your models
On the Models tab, use the filters to narrow the list:
Chassis type — show only models of a given chassis type (for example, Laptop, Smartphone, or Switch).
More filters — show other columns to filter by a specific value.
Search for a model
In the Search model box, enter a model name.
The register updates to show matching models as you type.
The models you can see depend on your Assets permissions on the hardware assets schema.
