Link a Confluence folder to your knowledge base
You can link a specific folder within a Confluence space to your Jira Service Management knowledge base, instead of linking the entire space. Only articles in that folder appear in your help center, knowledge base search, and the Virtual Service Agent. Folder linking is available on all plans.
You can link more than one knowledge source to a knowledge base, including native Confluence spaces, cross-site Confluence spaces, Confluence folders, and third-party folders. You need admin access to manage the knowledge base.
The folder can be in a Confluence space on the same site (native) or on a different site in your organization (cross-site).
You can't link a folder if its parent space is already linked to this knowledge base. Unlink the parent space first if you want to link one of its folders instead.
Link a Confluence folder
Go to Space settings > Knowledge base.
Select Add knowledge, then select Confluence.
Select the site and visibility for the folder you want to link.
Set Select content to Folder.
Choose the folder you want to link from Select folder, then finish the linking flow.
If the folder's parent space is already linked to this knowledge base, you'll see: "This folder can not be linked as parent space is already linked. Unlink the folder space first, then try again." Unlink the parent space, then link the folder.
Permissions for linked folders
A linked folder's permissions can't be changed in knowledge base settings.
Knowledge base settings display the permissions of the folder's parent space, not the folder itself.

After you link a folder, it can take a few seconds before the content appears in search.
Unlink a Confluence folder
Go to Space settings > Knowledge base.
Find the folder you want to remove and select Unlink.
