Customize portal pages
This topic is about Modern help centers. Find out which help center you're using.
In a Modern help center, each service space linked to the help center has a portal page. The portal page is where customers find the space's request forms, knowledge base articles and external resources. You can use the page as it's set up for you, or customize it.
What you can change depends on your plan:
On Standard, you can edit only the callout banner on the portal page.
On Premium and Enterprise, you can fully customize the page: change, add, remove and reorder components.
How portal pages are set up
When a portal page is created in a Modern help center, its layout follows the service space's settings:
Request forms are all in one help component. Each portal group in the space is a collapsible section in it.
Knowledge base articles are all in one help component.
External resources are all in one help component.
To change the portal groups, or which request types are in them, update the service space. Learn how to organize request types into portal groups.
Customize a portal page
To customize a portal page in a Modern help center:
Select Help centers in the left navigation sidebar.
On the card for the help center you want to edit, select Customize help center (pencil icon).
In the site tree, select the portal page. Learn how to use the site tree.
Select a help component, then choose what it shows in the side panel, such as specific request forms, some of the space's articles or specific external resources.
On Premium and Enterprise, you can also add, remove and reorder help components and other components. You don't have to keep the portal groups: you can build the page from your own help components. Learn how to add and arrange components on a page.

Portal pages can be moved in the site tree, but not deleted.
