Service types are native schemas in Assets that allow you to categorize and manage different kinds of services within Jira Service Management. It functions the same way as Asset object types and provides a structured way to govern the attributes and settings of your services. More about object types
With Jira Service Management, you get default service types across two primary schemas:
Software registry: Includes technical services, software services, applications, and capabilities.
Business portfolio: Includes digital products and business services.
You can use default service types or create custom ones to reflect your organization's technical and business architecture.
