Your service space comes with an automation flow called Update when a linked work item changes. This flow comments on your incident record about the status of a linked work item. So, when a development team progresses with their fix, your customers are kept up to date.

You can change or expand this flow to suit your needs. For example, you can close incidents automatically when development teams resolve linked work items in a software space. Or, you can send notifications to your customers when development teams put fixes in place.

To edit your linked work item flow:

1. From your service space, select Space settings, then Automation.

2. Select the flow called Update Jira linked work items.

3. Edit the flow as required.
