Create a PIR in Incident Command Center

After an incident is resolved, use the Post-incident review (PIR) tab to turn the incident record into a first draft of your post-incident review. The draft gives your team a starting point for discussing what happened, what improved the response, what still needs attention, and which follow-up actions should be tracked.

はじめる前に

To access the PIR tab, ensure that:

• Incident Command Center is enabled for the Jira Service Management space where the incident is actively being managed.

• You have the necessary agent permissions to view the incident.

• Rovo is enabled for your site by your organization admin.

Create a post-incident review draft

1. Open the incident in Jira Service Management.

2. Select the PIR tab.

3. Select Generate PIR.

4. Review the generated draft and compare it with the incident record and your team’s evidence.

5. Edit the draft to add or refine the confirmed root cause, impact, response actions, contributing factors, follow-up actions, owners, and due dates as needed.

6. Create a PIR work item or copy and save the draft to a tool of your choice.

Review the draft before publishing

An AI-generated PIR draft helps assemble incident information, but it does not replace the review and approval required by your organization. Verify that the draft is accurate, complete, and appropriate for its intended audience before publishing it or assigning follow-up work.

In particular, validate the technical findings, root cause statements, contributing factors, business impact, action items, and owners. Don't treat the draft as a confirmed conclusion until your team has reviewed it.

Use the PIR in your retrospective process, share it with the relevant stakeholders, and track agreed follow-up actions through your existing process.
