Find hardware in the register
Hardware asset management is available with Jira Service Management Premium and Enterprise.
To find hardware in the register, you must have hardware User or Administrator permissions, as well as Assets view permissions on the hardware schema where your data resides. The register only shows the hardware you can see.
The Hardware tab lists all your hardware in one register, so you can see your whole hardware portfolio and drill into any device's details.
Do this with Rovo
You can search your hardware inventory using Rovo. Open Rovo Chat and type /search-hardware, then describe what you're looking for — for example, "show all laptops in Building A" or "find devices assigned to Priya". Rovo queries your hardware data and returns matching results. You can also ask for counts and breakdowns, like "how many laptops are in use by location".
View the hardware register
In the left navigation, select Hardware.
From the tabs at the top, select Hardware.
The register lists your hardware with columns such as Name, Asset tag, Serial number, Status, Model, Chassis type, Manufacturer, and Primary user. Pagination (for example, Showing 20 of 1956) shows how many assets are displayed.
Select any hardware to open its details in a side panel. From there, select Open in Assets to see the full object page, including linked objects and work items.
Choose columns and group
Select Configure columns to choose which columns appear in the register.
Select Group to group the register by an attribute.
Select a column heading to sort by that column.
Filter your hardware
On the Hardware tab, use the filters to narrow the list:
Model — show only assets of a given model.
Status — show only assets in a given lifecycle status.
More filters — filter on additional attributes.

Search for hardware
In the Search hardware box, enter a name or other detail.
The register updates to show matching hardware as you type.
The hardware you can see depends on your Assets permissions on the hardware assets schema.
