Giving your agents the power to add announcements on the portal and help center will let them notify customers of important information. This helps them work quicker, more efficiently and communicate where it's most relevant.

1. From your service space, select Space settings, then Channels & self service, then Portal .

You must be a Jira admin to give agents permission to add announcements to a help center. Announcements are only available in Legacy help centers. Find out which help center you're using.

Give agents permission in a Legacy help center

In a Legacy help center, you let agents add announcements with a setting in Jira Service Management settings:

1. Select Settings () at the top right.

2. From the dropdown menu, select Jira apps.

3. Under the Jira Service Management header, select Help center permissions.

4. Under Announcements, select Yes, agents can add announcements to help centers.
