Link a Confluence source to your knowledge base
You can link a Confluence space, folder, or page to your Jira Service Management knowledge base. Articles from Confluence then appear in your help center, knowledge base search, and the Virtual Service Agent. When linking content, all children (descendants) of the linked content will be available, as long as permissions are set correctly.
You can link more than one knowledge source to a knowledge base, including native Confluence spaces, cross-site Confluence spaces, and third-party folders. See Link multiple knowledge sources to a knowledge base.

You need admin access to manage the knowledge base.
Link Confluence content for the first time
When adding content for the first time, you can choose to add a space, folder, or specific pages.
From your Service space, go to Space settings > Channels and self service > Knowledge Base.
Select Set up knowledge base.
Follow the prompts to set up the content you want to use as your knowledge base.
Select Link, to link the content.
Link additional Confluence content
You can choose to add more content to your knowledge base over time. If you want to add a specific page or folder, you should check to see if the space has already been added. By default all content within the space is already available. If you only want a specific folder or page to be added from a space that is already available, you need to unlink that space first.
From your Service space, go to Space settings > Channels and self service > Knowledge Base.

Follow the prompts to link additional content to your knowledge base.
Select Link, to link the content.
Permissions for linked folders and pages
Linking a page or folder automatically includes all nested child (descendant) pages under that page.
Viewing permissions are inherited from the Confluence spaceand are not editable from knowledge base settings. If a child page has specific Confluence restrictions applied, those restrictions are respected.
Where linked content appears
Once linked, content will be available:
In the Articles list under your project’s Knowledge base view.
In search results across your customer portal and help center.
As recommended answers in the Virtual Service Agent (if configured).
After you link a source, it can take a few seconds before the content appears in search.
