Work with alert groups in the Jira Cloud mobile app

Alert groups help you triage and manage related alerts efficiently in the Jira Cloud mobile app. The mobile experience is designed to help you start alert response on the go, with a smooth handoff to desktop when deeper incident management is required.

View and navigate alert groups

In the mobile app, alert groups appear as a single row in the alerts list, just like regular alerts. 

You can also perform key bulk actions on alert groups directly from the mobile app.

• If you’re on an iOS device, swipe the alert group left to view available actions. 

• If you’re on an Android device, select the alert group menu () to view available actions.

When you open an alert group, you’ll see a two-tab layout at the top of the screen.

• Details
  This tab shows the alert group information, including the group’s priority and status, when it was created and last updated, how alerts were grouped, and who is assigned to the group.

• Alerts
  This tab lists the individual alerts that belong to the group. From here, you can review each alert separately and take action as needed. You can also filter alerts based on their status.

Group and ungroup alerts

If you wish to change how you see a group of alerts:

1. Go to Alerts list in your mobile app.

2. Select Show alerts grouped option in the more menu () to view alerts grouped.

3. Unselect Show alerts grouped option in the alert menu () to view all alerts individually.

Preview and expand alert groups

Expanding an alert group opens a secondary screen that shows the alerts included in the group. You can quickly review alerts within a group without leaving the alerts list.

To view the alerts in a group:

• If you’re on an iOS device, tap on the chevron () to expand the alert group.

• If you’re on an Android device, select the alert group menu () to expand the alert group.

Share alert groups

The mobile app is designed for quickly triaging alert groups and starting a response. If you need to review an alert group with full context on desktop, or share it with others, you can share the alert group directly from the mobile app.

To share an alert group:

1. Open the alert group.

2. Select the Share button at the top of the screen.

3. Choose an option from your device’s native share menu.
