Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
All content related to Jira Cloud Automation, previously under the Automate your Jira processes and workflows section, have moved to the new Cloud Automation docs.
To link Jira Service Management with Jenkins, you need to be using the IT service management template, and have integrated Jira Cloud with Jenkins.
To connect Jenkins to your Jira Service Management Cloud project:
From your service project, go to Project settings > Change management.
Select Connect Pipeline > Jenkins, then copy the Service ID at the end of the set-up flow.
Go to Jenkins, select the Pipeline you want to associate with this service, and select Build with Parameters.
Paste the Service ID from the change management set-up flow into the Build with Parameters field.
Now that you’ve linked Jira Service Management with Jenkins, you can use deployment tracking and deployment gating.
