Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
Admins, agents, and collaborators in a service project can create issues using a link to a form. This allows your team to create issues using forms on behalf of customers without navigating to the portal.
There are two types of links you can use:
a general link that allows you to select any service project, request type, and form
a direct link that allows you to only create issues using a pre-selected form attached to a request type in a specific service project
Only admins, agents, and collaborators in a Service Desk Team role are able to create issues using this method.
These links can either be sent direct, or can be pasted to any Atlassian site such as a Confluence page to display as a smart link. Choose to show a form inline, as a card, or even embedded for easier issue creation.
You need to be a project admin to access a link to create issues using forms.
Go to Project settings ()> Forms
Select the form you want to create a link for
Select Settings
Turn on the toggle next to Create new issue
Select the request type/s you want to attach this form to
Select or copy the link that is now available
Follow steps 1 to 6 above
Select the desired service project, request type, and form
Select or copy the link that is now available to create issues using your pre-selected form
