Create an issue using a form

The features described on this page may not yet be available on your Jira Service Management site. To find out when these features will be live on your site, keep an eye on our release notes or the Atlassian Community.

To create an issue using a form, your project admin needs to enable Create new issue under Locations and request types in the relevant form’s settings. Learn more about form settings.

Your project admin will then need to give you the direct URL for the form, or add a shortcut to your left hand navigation. Learn how to add a shortcut.

Create an issue using a shortcut to a form

To create an issue using a shortcut:

  1. From the navigation on the left, under Shortcuts, find and select the shortcut created by your project admin.

  2. If the option is available, select your desired form and request type.

  3. Fill out the form, and select Submit.

To create an issue using a form’s direct URL:

  1. Go to the URL for creating issues from forms. If you don’t have one, ask your project admin.

  2. If the option is available, select your desired form and request type.

  3. Fill out the form, and select Submit.
