Configure Computed Issues

Assets Data Manager for Jira Service Management Cloud is a Premium and Enterprise only feature that is currently in Open Beta development. View and vote on our list of upcoming features.

If you find a bug or have questions, please reach out to Atlassian Support or the Atlassian Community.

This task requires Data Manager admin permissions to complete. How permissions and roles work in Data Manager.

When you import data in Assets Data Manager, Computed Dictionaries help to normalize your data by comparing it against a list of standardized values. If you have values in your data that aren't in the Computed Dictionary, the Computed Issues screen will notify you and help you categorize this new information.

Use Computed Issues

After an import, if you have Computed Issues, you'll now see a notification at the bottom left of the screen that prompts you to configure Computed Issues to normalize your data:

  1. From within Data Manager, select Settings.

  2. Select Computed Issues.

  3. Under Issue Count, select the Computed Dictionary that you wish to modify.

  4. In the List of Computed Issues screen:

    1. Select the checkbox for each item that you wish to add to the Computed Dictionary.

    2. Select Add Selected.

    3. In the Add Values to Dictionary panel:

      1. Select the Computed Dictionary to which to add the value.

      2. Select the Computed Dictionary Group to which to add the value.

      3. Select Save to add the values.

These changes will not take effect until after a new import has been run. This may happen periodically if you have set up a schedule using the Cleanse & Import client. To resolve Computed Issues immediately, run an import for this Object Class.
