Classify a request

Classify a request to help people recognize the sensitivity of information they’re viewing or working on.

You can classify a request once an organization admin has to set up classification levels for your organization.

To classify a request:

  1. Go to a request.

  2. Select ··· > Classify request.

  3. Choose a classification level.

  4. Select Update.

Why is my request already classified?

You may find that a request you’ve just created or requests you’ve worked on have been classified without any action by you or another user. This could be the result of a default classification level set by the service space admin. What is an organization default data classification level?

To change the classification level of a request:

  1. Go to a request.

  2. Select the current classification level.

  3. Select Change level.

  4. Choose a classification level.

  5. Select Update.

To remove the classification level of a request:

  1. Go to a request.

  2. Select the current classification level.

  3. Select Change level.

  4. Choose Space default. This means the request will revert to the default classification level of the space, which could be a different classification level, the same classification level, or none. Only a space admin can change the default classification level of a space.

  5. Select Update.
