Hide portals from your help center
You may not want all portals on your site to show up to your customers on your help center. Some of them may have sensitive information that shouldn’t be accessed by all customers. Some service projects may have been created for testing purposes or to evaluate certain features. Or admins and organisations may even want their customers to raise requests on certain portals only via email. In such cases and more, it becomes helpful to hide these portals from your help center.
You need to be a Jira administrator to manage the visibility of portals in the help center.
To hide a portal:
Go to Settings () > Products > Jira Service Management > Configuration.
Under Customize your help center, select Edit the layout of your help center.
Once you’re in the Edit home page layout page, select the Hide from home page icon ( ) on the portal you wish to hide. Remember that doing this doesn’t hide this portal from the home page yet.
Select Publish layout in the Edit home page layout page to hide the portal from the home page of your help center.
You can revert to the last published version of the home page layout by selecting Cancel. You’ll lose all the changes you’ve made to the layout up until then. Portals you may have hidden in that session will continue to be visible in your help center.
Hidden portals can be seen and managed by all Jira administrators in the Edit home page layout page. Currently, these portals will show up in search results and will also be visible to users who access them via their direct URLs.
To make a hidden portal visible in your home page:
Go to Settings () > Products > Jira Service Management > Configuration.
Under Customize your help center, select Edit the layout of your help center.
Once you’re in the Edit home page layout page, go to the Hidden section under Portals.
Select the Show in home page icon ( ) on the hidden portal of your choice. Remember that doing this doesn’t make the portal visible in the home page yet.
Select Publish layout in the Edit home page layout page to make the portal visible in the home page of your help center.
You can revert to the last published version of the home page layout by selecting Cancel. You’ll lose all the changes you’ve made to the layout up until then.
