Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
The ‘External Assets Platform’ custom field and related APIs have been deprecated and will be shut down on 31 December 2024. See the Community Post for more details.
By default, all assets in your inventory can be searched for in the asset field. If your asset management system supports asset typing, you can set up filters based on asset types to control what appears in search results.
You must have an asset management app installed and be a Jira administrator to filter asset search results.
Go to Settings () > Issues.
Under Custom fields, find Linked assets.
Select … > Configure.
Under Default Configuration Scheme for Linked Assets click Edit filters.
Choose an asset type to filter by.
Click Save.
