Enable quick creation of referenced objects

When you are creating a new object, you can enter details about that object in the ‘Create Object’ dialog box. These details could include text or numerical information, or even references to other objects. If you Enable quick creation of referenced objects you can both create and reference an object in one action, simply by entering a new label into any object reference field on the ‘Create Object’ dialog box.

To enable this feature you must be logged in as a Jira admin or have Object Schema Manager permissions.

There are two ways to enable the quick creation of referenced objects.

From the Assets > Object schemas list view:

1. Select Configure next to the relevant schema.

2. Under the General tab, select Enable quick creation of referenced objects.

From within an object schema:

1. Select Object schema in the top right and select Configure in the dropdown.

2. Under the General tab, select Enable quick creation of referenced objects.
