Edit and delete a knowledge base category

Categories are only available for spaces linked from Confluence Cloud sites.

Deleting a knowledge base article category removes the category from the knowledge base and portal. However, any articles added to the category aren't deleted and can still be accessed by your customers.

To delete a category:

  1. From your service project, go to Knowledge base.

  2. From the sidebar navigation, select the category you want to delete from the list from Categories.

  3. Go to ••• and select Delete category.

To edit the name or description of a category:

  1. From your service project, go to Knowledge base.

  2. From the sidebar navigation, select the category you want to edit from the list from Categories.

  3. Select name or description field and make required changes.

  4. Save your changes.
