Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
We recently announced a streamlined incident management experience is available in Jira Service Management. This update brings alert, on-call, and incident response features from Opsgenie (desktop & mobile) into the Jira Service Management UI so your team can resolve alerts and incidents more efficiently.
Your admin is moving all of your Opsgenie data and configurations into Jira Service Management. As a responder, you need to complete a few basic steps before you can start using the new incident experience.
Your contact methods, notification, and forwarding rules from Opsgenie will be synced with Jira Service Management, without any changes.
You’ll get alert and on-call notifications as usual, but they’ll be sent by Jira Service Management once your move is complete and Opsgenie is turned off. Update your filters and blocklist in your email client to ensure that you have access to email notifications from no-reply@jsm-notifications.atlassian.net.
Your work in the Opsgenie mobile app has been moved into the Jira Mobile app. To get notified of alerts, check on-call schedules, and manage your notifications on-the-go download the Jira Cloud mobile app for iOS or Android to get started.
Once you’ve installed it, you can add it as a notification method to start receiving push notifications for alerts and on-call.
To manage your alert notification settings, go to Personal settings and select Alerts in Notification settings. Your notification rules from Opsgenie will be copied to your Jira Cloud mobile app, without any changes.
Select the mobile devices where you’d like to add Jira Cloud app as your notification method and select Add Jira Cloud app as a notification method.
