Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
The ‘External Assets Platform’ custom field and related APIs have been deprecated and will be shut down on 31 December 2024. See the Community Post for more details.
Customers can link assets to their request when raising a request in a help center if an asset field is available. You can give your customers permission to do this by adding a visible asset management field to a request type.
You must be a project administrator to configure request types.
To add an asset management field:
From your service project, select Project settings, then Request management, then Request types.
Select Edit fields for the request type you want customers to link assets to.
Select + Add a field > Linked assets > Apply.
This page is for company-managed projects
If the lower-left of your service project sidebar says you're in a team-managed project, check out these team-managed project articles instead.
