Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
All content related to Jira Cloud Automation, previously under the Automate your Jira processes and workflows section, have moved to the new Cloud Automation docs.
ITIL defines a standard change as a request that is pre-approved. The IT service project template comes with an automation rule that pre-approves standard changes.
It works by looking at change requests that have the Change type set to Standard. It transitions these through the Peer review / Change manager approval stage to the Planning stage.
You can disable or fine tune this rule in your automation settings:
From your service project sidebar, select Project settings > Automation.
Edit the rule named Auto-approve standard change requests .
Learn more about automation rules.
This page is for company-managed projects
If the lower-left of your service project sidebar says you're in a team-managed project, check out these team-managed project articles instead.
