Turn off the virtual agent

The virtual agent is now available for all Jira Service Management customers on Premium and Enterprise plans. Read more about plans and pricing.

If you no longer want to use the virtual agent, you can turn it off in one or more channels.

You need to be a project admin to turn off the virtual agent.

Turn off the virtual agent in Slack

To turn off the virtual agent in Slack:

  1. From the navigation on the left, select Project settings, then Virtual agent.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Basic settings if not already selected.

  4. If Atlassian Intelligence answers is on, turn the toggle off next to Atlassian Intelligence answers, and then select Deactivate.

    • This will deactivate Atlassian Intelligence answers in all of your connected channels.

  5. Select Channels.

  6. Under Request channels, turn all of the toggles off.

Turn off the virtual agent in your portal

To turn off the virtual agent in your portal:

  1. From the navigation on the left, select Project settings, then Virtual agent.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Basic settings if not already selected.

  4. If Atlassian Intelligence answers is on, turn the toggle off next to Atlassian Intelligence answers, and then select Deactivate.

    • This will deactivate Atlassian Intelligence answers in all of your connected channels.

  5. Select Intents.

  6. Set the status of all of your intents to Test.

    • This will deactivate all of your intents in all of your connected channels.

What happens to your data when you turn off the virtual agent

If you decide you no longer want to use the virtual agent, your organization admin can turn it off, but your data will be retained until you delete your Jira Service Management project. Within 5 business days of deleting your Jira Service Management project, we’ll remove your trained machine learning model and training data set, but we may retain common customer questions derived from your data.
