Configure Cleansing Rules

Add a new Cleansing Rule

To add a new Cleansing Rule to a Data Source in Data Manager:

  1. From within Data Manager, select Cleanse and Import in the left menu bar.

  2. Select the Data Source where you want to add a new Cleansing Rule.

  3. Click the and then click Rules.

  4. In the Rules screen, select a rule from the drop-down and select Add Rule.

  5. Add the desired variables for the rule.

  6. Select Save.

Edit a Cleansing Rule

To edit a Cleansing Rule attached to a Data Source:

  1. From within Data Manager, select Cleanse and Import in the left menu bar.

  2. Select the Data source which required adjusting.

  3. Click the and then click Cleanse.

  4. In the Cleanse screen, select the COLLAPSE (-) icon to expand or collapse the rule details.

  5. Edit the details of your rule.

  6. Select Save.

Delete a Cleansing Rule

To remove a Cleansing Rule attached to a Data Source:

  1. From within Data Manager, select Cleanse and Import in the left menu bar.

  2. Select the Data source where you would like to delete a rule.

  3. Click the and then click Cleanse.

  4. In the Cleanse screen, select the DELETE (X) icon to remove the rule.

  5. In the confirmation screen, select Yes to remove the rule.

Change the order of Cleansing Rules

To promote or demote a Cleansing Rule attached to a Data Source:

  1. From within Data Manager, select Cleanse and Import in the left menu bar.

  2. Select the Data source; which required adjusting.

  3. Click the and then click Cleanse .

  4. In the Cleanse screen, select the UP icon to promote a rule or the DOWN icon to demote a rule.

  5. Select Save.
