Set an object type's label

Assets in Jira Service Management is a Premium and Enterprise only feature. Learn more about Assets.

A label is an object type’s display name and appears wherever the object is referenced. In the Attributes view, labels are marked with a label icon. By default, the label is the “Name” attribute, but you can set it to any attribute with a “Text” Type value.

Set an object type's label

From your service project:

  1. Go to Assets, then Object schemas.

  2. Select the relevant object schema.

  3. Select the relevant object type.

  4. Select Attributes.

  5. Select the attribute you want to become the new label and select then select Set as label.
