Set the label of an object type

Assets in Jira Service Management is a Premium and Enterprise only feature. Learn more about Assets.

A label is the title of an object that appears wherever an object is referenced. The label of an object type is marked with the label icon in the Attributes view of the object type. The default label is the attribute “Name”.

You can set an object type’s label to any attribute of Type Value “Text”:

  1. From your service project, go to Assets > Object schemas.

  2. Select the relevant object schema.

  3. Select the relevant object type.

  4. Select Attributes.

  5. Select the attribute you want to become the new label and select then select Set as label.
