Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
Assets in Jira Service Management is a Premium and Enterprise only feature. Learn more about Assets.
When you create an object type that’s nested within another object type, you can make it automatically inherit all attributes from the parent object type.
You cannot do this if you have already forced inheritance by having all attributes inherit from the parent object type. If you alter the parent object type, or you add a new attribute to the parent object type you may have to manually refresh this setting.
To do this, you must be logged in as a Jira admin or have Object Schema Manager permissions.
Select Assets in the top navigation bar.
Select Object schemas.
Select the relevant object schema.
Select the relevant child object type.
Select Add Parent Attributes at the bottom.
In the popup window, select Add.
