Generate a token for importing in Assets Discovery

To import data from an external app, you must generate a key that allows the external app to securely transfer the data into Assets. This is called a Single Sign-On (SSO) token, or just token.

You must also generate a token to import data from Asset Discovery.

To generate a token:

1. Select an Object schema.

2. Select Schema settings, then choose the Import tab.

3. Only the Assets Discovery(DSC) and External app (EXT) import types can be used to generate a token. Click on the cogwheel under one of these import connections and select Generate token.

4. Click Generate to generate or refresh a token.

5. Once you have generated or refreshed a token, store the token somewhere safe. The token will not be visible again once the page is closed.

6. Click Close.
