The memory requirements may be reduced if you are using data from files such as CSV but not tools or databases.

If you are using Flat Files and have 75,000 objects, we recommend having at least 8gb of memory available.

If you are using SQL or APIs and have 175,000 objects, we recommend having at least 8gb of memory available.*

 Some adapters also work where all data is loaded into memory, so the impact on memory should be reviewed and adjusted during the first load, as required.

What is the maximum import size?

Assets Data Manager runs in the cloud within Jira Service Management. Because this is a cloud-based system, there are some hard limits to ensure that it remains available and efficient for all users.

The maximum import size can be calculated by determining the ImportScore for that import. Other factors, such as the number of existing data sources in the system, the cardinality of data across various data sources, the complexity of attributes, and the number of users currently using the UI may also affect the speed or success of jobs.

The ImportScore can be calculated by multiplying the number of mapped attributes with the number of Cleansed Records for the Object Class.

The solution to this is to reduce the ImportScore of this import and try it again. There are three potential ways to reduce the ImportScore of an import - in most cases, you may only need to select one of these options:

1. Reduce the number of attributes - In most cases, not all attributes from all data sources are needed. To reduce your ImportScore you can reduce the total number of attributes that are Imported by assigning them to <ignore> when you Configure your attribute mapping.

2. Add more cleansing rules - Cleansing rules help reduce the size of an import by removing duplicate or erroneous records.
