Set up your alert notifications

This article refers to features that are currently rolling out. To find out when these features will be live on your site, keep an eye on our release notes or the Atlassian Community.

To receive alert notifications, you must have at least one contact method set up in Opsgenie.

There are 4 ways you can receive alert notifications: email, SMS, voice calls, and mobile push notifications. When your account is created, your email address is automatically added as the default contact method.

You can can add or modify your contact methods any time via the Notification page in your Opsgenie settings.

You can also set up notification rules to configure conditions, time constraints, and steps for a notification to be sent in the event of an incident. Learn how to create and manage notification preferences in Opsgenie.

To set up your alert notifications:

  1. In your service project, open Alerts in your sidebar navigation, this will take you to Opsgenie.

  2. From Opsgenie, go to Settings > Notifications

  3. Update your contact methods by adding an email or phone number

  4. Set up any notification rules as required by your admin.
