Rank issues on your board manually

As an admin, you can allow your team to rank issues on your board by dragging and dropping them. By ranking issues, you arrange them according to their relative importance or urgency. For example, when you have two issues that are of 'High' priority, you can choose to place one above the other on your board.

When you allow issue ranking, “Order by rank” is applied to the board filter query. To turn off issue ranking, you need to edit the filter directly.

You must be a Jira admin, project admin or board admin to enable issue ranking.

  1. From your board select More actions (), then Configure board.

  2. Select General settings in the settings menu.

  3. Select Filter details, then Allow issue ranking.
