Data Manager - Qualifier
Assets Data Manager for Jira Service Management Cloud is currently rolling out in Open Beta and will be available to all Premium + Enterprise sites by end of October 2024.
A Qualifier is a unicode character that is wrapped around a section of text that includes spaces. This character is used in the Flat File configuration screen to tell Data Manager that this section of text is a single value and not multiple values.
When the data includes string values with spaces, a comma will demarcate a single string. For example: Microsoft, Windows will get the column out of alignment - making Microsoft one column and Windows the next. The value "Microsoft Windows" will not.
If a qualifier is used in the data source, it is important to include the qualifier that is used in the data when you Create Job.
