Changes to Free and Standard plans in Jira Service Management
As of October 16, 2024, change management for Jira Service Management will move from Standard to Premium plans. After this point, only Premium and Enterprise plans will have access to this feature.
Existing projects in Free and Standard plans will continue to support existing request types and issue types. Read more about the plan changes.
The change calendar is where you can view and schedule change requests across all of your Jira Service Management service projects. Learn more about the change calendar.
You may need to be an agent, project admin, or Jira admin to create, edit, and delete change requests. Learn more about permissions.
From the navigation on the left, select Change calendar.
Find the date and time that you want to schedule the change request for.
Select (and drag) until your desired time is highlighted.
Fill out the dialog that appears. For the request to appear on the calendar, you’ll need to make sure that:
The request type under Type is a change request type.
The ‘planned’ or ‘actual’ date fields are filled out. You can always change these dates and times later. Learn more about date fields for the change calendar.
Select Create.
To reschedule a change request by dragging and dropping it in the calendar view:
From the navigation on the left, select Change calendar.
Find the change request you want to reschedule.
Select and drag the change request to your desired date and time. To change the duration of the change request, select the bottom of the change request and drag it up or down.
To reschedule a change request using the date fields:
From the navigation on the left, select Change calendar.
Select the change request you want to reschedule > Edit ().
Change the ‘planned’ or ‘actual’ dates. Changes will be saved automatically. Learn more about date fields for the change calendar.
Select Exit ().
To edit other details of a change request:
From the navigation on the left, select Change calendar.
Select the change request you want to reschedule > Edit ().
Edit any details of the change request. Changes will be saved automatically.
Select Exit ().
From the navigation on the left, select Change calendar.
Select the change request you want to delete.
Select Edit () > More () > Delete.
Select Delete.
