Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
This feature is only available for users on Jira Service Management Premium and Enterprise plans. Read more about plans and pricing.
You can create multiple help centers and customize them individually to cater to your different, distinct audiences.
You need to be a site admin or Jira admin to create and manage multiple help centers.
To create a new help center:
Go to Settings () > Products > Jira Service Management > Configuration.
In the Help center section, select View all help centers.
You’ll be taken to the help center management page. Select Create help center.
Enter a name and URL slug for your new help center and select Create.
You can also create a new help center from any of your existing help centers:
Go to any help center on your site.
Select your avatar, and from the dropdown, select Create help center.
Enter a name and URL slug for your new help center and select Create.
To ensure that the right help resources are available to be displayed in your new help center, you can select service projects you want linked to this help center. Read more about linking service projects to a help center.
To view all help centers on your site:
Go to Settings () > Products > Jira Service Management > Configuration.
In the Help center section, select View all help centers.
For every help center on your site, you can:
Customize the look and feel of the help center
Create announcements and topics
Feature or hide portals on the home page
Set a custom URL slug
Find out more about customizing your help centers.
Go to Settings () > Products > Jira Service Management > Configuration.
In the Help center section, select View all help centers.
Select More (…) next to the help center you want to edit.
Select Settings, and go to Details.
Make changes you want to make to the name and/or slug.
Select Save to save changes.
To delete a help center:
Go to Settings () > Products > Jira Service Management > Configuration.
In the Help center section, select View all help centers.
Select More (…) next to the help center you want to delete.
Select Delete.
Once deleted, all customizations you’ve applied to that help center will be lost, and it cannot be undone. The first help center that comes with your Jira Service Management site is your default help center and it cannot be deleted.
