Create an issue using a link to a form

Admins, agents, and collaborators in a service project can create issues using a link to a form.

There are two types of links you can use:

  • General links that allow you to select any service project, request type, and form.

  • Direct links that allow you to only create issues using a pre-selected form attached to a request type in a specific service project.

These links can either be used directly, or can be pasted to any Atlassian site such as a Confluence page to display as a smart link. Choose to show a form inline, as a card, or even embedded for easier issue creation.

Only admins, agents, and collaborators in a Service Desk Team role are able to create issues using this method.

You need to be an admin to access a link to create issues using forms.

  1. From your service project, select Project settings, then Request management, then Forms.

  2. Select the form you want to create a link for

  3. Select Settings

  4. Turn on the toggle next to Create a shareable link

  5. Select the request type/s you want to attach this form to

  6. Select or copy the link that is now available

  1. Follow steps 1 to 6 above

  2. Select the desired service project, request type, and form

  3. Copy the link that is now in your search navigation to create issues using this pre-selected form.
