Configuring Data Sources

Assets Data Manager for Jira Service Management Cloud is currently rolling out in Open Beta and will be available to all Premium + Enterprise sites by end of October 2024.

This task requires Data Manager admin permissions to complete. How permissions and roles work in Data Manager.

Set the priority of Data sources

A Data source is created automatically the first time a job is successfully run.

To set the priority of Data Sources:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Data Manager at top-right, next to Settings.

  3. Select Settings in the left menu bar.

  4. Select Data sources in the left menu bar.

  5. Select and then select Edit.

  6. Select a Priority for this data source.

Alternately you can use the Up and Down arrows on the Data Sources screen to move individual Data Sources up and down in the list of priorities.

Edit a Data source

To edit an existing Data Source:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Data Manager at top-right, next to Settings.

  3. Select Settings in the left menu bar.

  4. Select Data sources in the left menu bar.

  5. Select and then select Edit.

  6. Select a Priority for this data source.

  7. Select a Refresh Gap for this data source.

Delete a Data Source

If you delete a Data Source, all Snapshots associated with this Data Source will be permanently removed. There will be no way to recover them once deleted. This action cannot be undone.

Deleting a Data Source will result in the corresponding column being removed from any existing snapshots.

To delete an existing Data Source:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Data Manager at top-right, next to Settings.

  3. Select Settings in the left menu bar.

  4. Select Data sources in the left menu bar.

  5. Select and then select Delete.

  6. Select Delete.
