Configuring Attribute Priority

Assets Data Manager for Jira Service Management Cloud is currently rolling out in Open Beta and will be available to all Premium + Enterprise sites by end of October 2024.

This task requires Data Manager admin permissions to complete. How permissions and roles work in Data Manager.

Create a new Attribute Priority

Before a new Attribute Priority can be created, a job must be run to bring in Raw Data, and a Data Source must be created.

To create a new Attribute Priority:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Configuration (heading row, top right).

  3. Select the Data Manager tab and click the Data Manager button.

  4. Select Settings at left.

  5. Select Attribute Priority, and then select +Add.

  6. In the panel, complete the following fields:

    1. Object Attribute - This field lists all Attributes from all Data Manager objects in your instance. Select the Object Attribute that you wish to create a priority for.

    2. Data Source - This field lists all available Data Sources. Select the Data Source you want to create a priority for.

    3. Priority - Enter the priority for this Attribute-Data Source pair.

  7. Select Save.

Edit an Attribute Priority

To edit an existing Attribute Priority:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Configuration (heading row, top right).

  3. Select the Data Manager tab and click the Data Manager button.

  4. Select Settings at left.

  5. Select Attribute Priority.

  6. Select the Attribute Priority you wish to edit.

  7. Select the icon and select Edit.

Deleting an Attribute Priority

To delete an existing Attribute Priority:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Configuration (heading row, top right).

  3. Select the Data Manager tab and click the Data Manager button.

  4. Select Settings at left.

  5. Select Attribute Priority.

  6. Select the Attribute Priority you wish to delete.

  7. Select the icon and select Delete.

Set the priority of Attribute Priorities

You may only use the Up and Down arrows to change the order of Attribute Priorities between Attribute priorities that share the same Attribute but different Data Sources.

To set the priority of Attribute Priorities:

  1. Select Assets in the top navigation bar.

  2. In the Assets landing page, select Configuration (heading row, top right).

  3. Select the Data Manager tab and click the Data Manager button.

  4. Select Settings at left.

  5. Select Attribute Priority.

  6. Select the Attribute Priority you wish to edit.

  7. Select the icon and select Edit.

  8. Enter the new priority for this Attribute Priority.

Alternately you can use the Up and Down arrows on the Attribute Priorities screen to move individual Attribute Priorities up and down in the list of priorities.
