Get started with Jira Service Management for admins

Assets Data Manager for Jira Service Management Cloud is currently rolling out in Open Beta and will be available to all Premium + Enterprise sites by end of October 2024.
You can create and save a visual display of your objects in Data Manager using a Dashboard.
Dashboards are grouped together into Dashboard groups of similar dashboards. Each environment can have a Default Dashboard which will open for all users when they go to Dashboards.
Every Dashboard is composed of individual Charts that display information in a variety of different formats.
This task requires Data Manager Dashboards Editor permissions to complete. How permissions and roles work in Data Manager.

To add a new Dashboard group:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select +Dashboard group to add a new Dashboard Group.
Enter a Name for the Dashboard group.
Select Save.
To edit a name of a Dashboard group:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group and select …
Select Edit.
To Delete a Dashboard group:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group and select …
Select Delete.
If you are sure you want to delete the Dashboard group, select Delete.
To create a new Dashboard, you must have already created at least one Dashboard group.
To add a new Dashboard:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group that you want to add a Dashboard to.
Select … and select Dashboard.
Enter the name of the new Dashboard.
Use the Default toggle to select if this Dashboard is set as the Default Dashboard for this environment, visible to all users. Setting a Default Dashboard will automatically deselect previous default dashboards.
Select Save.
To edit a Dashboard:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group to view the Dashboards under it.
Select a Dashboard and select Edit at top.
Edit the name of the Dashboard and if it is set as the Default Dashboard for this environment, visible to all users. Setting a Default Dashboard will automatically deselect previous default dashboards.
Select Save.
This task can also be accomplished with Data Manager Dashboards Viewer permissions for their own Dashboards. How permissions and roles work in Data Manager.
To delete a Dashboard:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group to view the Dashboards under it.
Select a Dashboard and select Delete at top.
If you are sure you want to delete the Dashboard, select Delete.
You can modify the layout of a Dashboard by moving your charts around as you like. Once you have your Dashboard arranged to your liking, you can lock the layout.
To modify the layout of a Dashboard:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group to view the Dashboards under it.
Select a Dashboard and select Modify Layout at top.
Drag and drop Charts in your Dashboard. Changes you make will be visible to all users.
After you have arranged your Dashboard as you like it, select Lock Layout.
To create a new Chart, you must have already created at least one Dashboard group.
To add a chart to a Dashboard:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group to view the Dashboards under it.
Select a Dashboard and select Add at top.
Enter a Title for this Chart.
Select a Chart Type to format the information displayed.
Select an Object Class to choose which types of objects will be displayed.
Depending on the type of chart you have selected, you may need to add one or more Saved Searches. For each Saved Search, select the Saved Search to use using the dropdown.
After you have entered all required information, select Save to save the Chart.
To edit a chart:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group to view the Dashboards under it.
Select a Dashboard select the Chart you want to edit.
Select … at the top of the chart and select Edit.
After you have modified your information and all required information is completed, select Save to save the Chart.
To delete a chart:
From within Data Manager, select Dashboards in the left menu bar.
Select a Dashboard Group to view the Dashboards under it.
Select a Dashboard select the Chart you want to edit.
Select … at the top of the chart and select Delete.
If you are sure you want to delete the Chart, select Delete.
