Configure a Transform Function
Assets Data Manager for Jira Service Management Cloud is currently rolling out in Open Beta and will be available to all Premium + Enterprise sites by end of October 2024.
Add a new Transform function
This task requires Data Manager administrator permissions to complete. Learn about permissions and roles in Data Manager.
You can add a Transform function to a job only after a job has been created and run. To add a new Transform function:
From within Data Manager, select Adapters in the left menu bar.
Select All jobs in the left navigation bar.
Select the job you wish to add a new transform function to and select the Edit icon.
In the Configuration screen, scroll down to the Functions section.
Select the dropdown to the left of Add function.
Select a function from the list.
Click Add function.
The function panel should appear, which allows you to Configure the function by entering values.
When you are done, select the minus (-) at top to Collapse the function panel.
Select Save to save the Transform function.
Edit a Transform function
This task requires Data Manager administrator permissions to complete. Learn about permissions and roles in Data Manager.
To edit a Transform function:
From within Data Manager, select Adapters in the left menu bar.
Select All jobs in the left navigation bar.
Select the job you wish to edit the transform function to and select the Edit icon.
In the Configuration screen, scroll down to the Functions section.
Select the dropdown to the left of Add function.
Select a function from the list.
Select the minus (-) at top to Expand the function panel.
Edit the fields to modify the function.
When you are done, select the minus (-) at top to Collapse the function panel.
Select Save to save the Transform function.
Delete a Transform Function
This task requires Data Manager administrator permissions to complete. Learn about permissions and roles in Data Manager.
To remove a Transform Function from a job:
From within Data Manager, select Adapters in the left menu bar.
Select a job and then select the Edit icon.
In the Configuration screen, scroll down to the Functions section.
To remove a function, select the X icon.
Select Save to save the Transform function.
Change the order of Transform Functions
This task requires Data Manager administrator permissions to complete. Learn about permissions and roles in Data Manager.
Adapter functions are run in order from first to last. You can modify which functions are run when by changing their order:
From within Data Manager, select Adapters in the left menu bar.
Select All jobs in the left navigation bar.
Select the job you wish to reorder the transform function to and select the Edit icon.
In the Configuration screen, scroll down to the Functions section.
To promote a function, select the (🔺) icon.
To demote a function select the (🔻) icon.
