The space summary page in Jira Service Management provides a high-level, customizable dashboard that helps you monitor your space’s key metrics and team activity in one place. This dashboard is an overview of your team’s work across your space. 

Gain insights into your team’s workload and results with a snapshot of key metrics across your space, such as the number of work items completed, updated, or created, as well as upcoming due items. The summary view also includes charts and visualizations that help you understand work status, priorities, progress, and workload distribution across your team.

The space summary view is enabled by default for all Jira Service Management spaces. To access it, navigate to your space and select Summary in the space sidebar. 

Only space admins can enable, disable, or customize the space summary view. Any changes made by admins apply at the space level and are visible to all agents.

To enable the summary view:

  1. Go to Space settings > Features from your space.

  2. Scroll down to Feature lab and turn the Space summary toggle on.

Navigate to your service space, then select Summary in your space’s sidebar. You’ll see data as long as you have at least one assignee and any number of work items in your space. The more people and requests in your space, the more insights you’ll be able to make use of. 

Space admins can customize the summary view layout to suit the needs of their service team. This includes selecting which charts, widgets, and overview cards are visible, and arranging them to create a consistent analytics experience across Jira Service Management.

Space admins can fully customize the summary view. They can adjust the layout, resize charts, add or remove rows, change the order of widgets, and select which charts, metrics, and visualization types are shown. Customization applies at the space level and is visible to all agents.

Different space templates, such as ITSM, HR, or Finance, may have different default summary layouts.

Space admins can configure which global filters are available on the summary view, such as date range, assignee, work type, status, or priority. All summary data is scoped to the current space.

Space admins can add charts using a variety of Jira Service Management metrics. These can include work item trends, SLA performance, and customer satisfaction. The metrics shown depend on your space’s summary configuration. Read more about metrics.
