The Data Manager object (also known as the Golden Record or Preferred Record) is created during the Import process from the Cleansed Data, where multiple records are reconciled into a single object.

These objects represent the most holistic information about a device or configuration item and contain specific information in the form of Attributes.

データ マネージャー オブジェクトの名前は、優先順位が最も高い データ ソース の 主キー から作成されますが、属性は、すべてのデータ ソースからの情報をマージし、「 データ ソースの優先順位 」と「属性の優先順位 」に基づいてオブジェクトの 優先属性 を選択することによって作成されます。

Assume that there are 5 sources that Data Manager is analyzing: Discovery, AD, antivirus, CMDB, and Lease Asset Register. Each of these sources will contain some fields, attributes, and columns that are common among them, and some that are unique to that source:

• Installed status or operational status is a field found in CMDBs but not common across Discovery, AD, antivirus, and Lease Registers.

データ マネージャーは、ゴールデン レコードが作成されると、優先度が最も高いデータ ソースから優先度が最も低いデータ ソースの順に、次のタスクを実行します。

• マッピングされた各フィールドの値を順に実行します。

  • 最も高い優先度が割り当てられているデータ ソースにフィールド値が存在する場合、この値は優先レコードのフィールドに使用されます。

  • If the field value does not exist or the value is NULL for the data source assigned with the highest priority, Data Manager will use the next populated field value from the data source that has the next highest assigned priority, and so on.

• 分析する 5 つのデータ ソースで次のフィールドに進むと同時に、優先レコードが生成されます。

In the example above, the Data Manager object would ultimately have the following preferred attributes and values:

• The hostname and operating system values will be derived from Discovery;

• 保証日の値は CMDB から導き出されます (CMDB の方がリース登録よりも優先度が高いため)。

• インストールされたステータスの値は CMDB から導き出されます。

• The depreciation value will be derived from the Lease Register.
