Use AI drafts to write articles quickly

The AI drafts feature is only available to Premium and Enterprise Jira Service Management customers.

AI drafts make it easy to write articles by pre-generating drafts for the most common requests you receive. The content for these drafts is based on details and comments in issues.

Issues with any type of security level are not considered as input for generating AI drafts.

View and edit AI drafts

Before you begin, make sure:

Once completed, the AI drafts will be automatically available under the Knowledge base. Both agents and admins can edit AI-generated drafts to create articles.

AI drafts will be generated only when you receive at least five related requests in the last 30 days.

To view AI drafts:

  1. From your service project, go to Knowledge base.

  2. Select Suggested topics.

  3. Under the Topics column, view topics for which customers are submitting requests but your knowledge base doesn't have corresponding articles.

  4. Select View draft.

  5. To edit the draft, choose a space and select Start editing.

  6. After you’ve finished editing the draft, select Create article to publish the article to your knowledge base.

Usage guidelines

AI drafts quality can vary and be dependent on a number of things including the knowledge sources provided, the user's access, and the probabilistic nature of LLMs (large language models).
