Jira Automation docs have moved

All content related to Jira Cloud Automation, previously under the Automate your Jira processes and workflows section, have moved to the new Cloud Automation docs.

What are the safe customer notifications?

Enabling this setting will hide confidential information from email notifications that are sent to a third-party vendor. Once enabled, the data including ‘Issue summary’, ‘Issue description’, ‘Comment’, and 'Attachment” will be hidden from the corresponding notification emails that your customers will receive. Your customers will need to log in to the portal to view the entire information available on the request.

Project admins are encouraged to review and edit the customer notification templates which may contain the sensitive data. Learn more about create and edit the content of customer notifications.

You must enable this setting if your organization is required to use Jira Service Management in a HIPAA-compliant way. You’ll also need to disable any automation rules that trigger an email notification.

If you’re a customer who has a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) in place with Atlassian for Jira Software and Confluence with Enterprise plans, follow the instructions on our HIPAA implementation guide.
