Jira Automation docs have moved

All content related to Jira Cloud Automation, previously under the Automate your Jira processes and workflows section, have moved to the new Cloud Automation docs.

See who's involved in an issue in the old issue view

We're rolling out a new issue view for Jira Service Management, with one consistent screen to view and edit issues. It looks a little different and some procedures have changed slightly. Learn more about the new issue view.

The right hand panel of the old issue view shows the service project agent working on the issue, the customer, and any other people involved.

Some of the people you might see here include:

  • Assignee – The person currently responsible for resolving the issue.

  • Reporter – The customer who raised the original request.

  • Request participants and Organizations – Customers and groups of customers who can view and comment on the issue. They might be included if they’re interested in the progress or outcome of the issue.

  • Votes – People who vote for an issue are usually people who want the issue resolved.

  • Watchers – Team members on your Jira site who have opted in to receive notifications about the issue.

  • Approvers – If the issue has approvers, these people are tasked with approving or declining the issue.
