Link Confluence spaces to your next-gen project

You can link one or more spaces to a service project if Confluence and Jira Service Management have the same Atlassian Cloud domain name. You can also easily unlink Confluence spaces when you need to.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure you or the Confluence group you belong to have the View permission for that space. If you're a Confluence admin, you can check this by navigating to your Confluence space and selecting Space settings > Permissions.

  • To create a new space, you need the global Confluence administrator and Create space permissions in Confluence. To manage these permissions, go to your Confluence global permissions.

To link one or more Confluence spaces to your service project:

  1. From your service project, go to Service project settings () > Knowledge base.

  2. Select Link space.

  3. Select the Confluence space(s) you want to link to your service project.

  4. Select Link.

You can also create a space directly from your project and link it to your knowledge base. To do so:

  1. From your service project, go to Service project settings () > Knowledge base.

  2. Select Create space.

  3. Choose a name and key for your space.

  4. Select Create.

Articles from your linked spaces will appear in your project’s knowledge base. To find a list of all your linked spaces, go to Service project settings () > Knowledge base from your service project.

If you don’t have an image in the lower-left of your service project sidebar which states you're in a next-gen project, check out these classic project articles instead.
