Create surveys with Rovo
Create surveys faster with Rovo by simply telling it your goal and audience, then reviewing the best‑practice questions and having it draft for you. No code needed, you can still use templates, make quick edits in the builder, see a live preview, and publish surveys that live alongside your requests and projects in your service space.
Example
Let’s say you work on the HR services team and want to support employees returning to work after maternity leave, so you draft a gentle, opt‑in survey to send a week before their return and again 30 days after they’re back.
Describe the goal and audience, then Rovo drafts respectful, inclusive questions. Early responses highlight practical needs like schedule flexibility and access to tools on day one, plus support from managers and availability of a private lactation/parent room.
You coordinate with Facilities to signpost the parent room, add guidance for phased ramp‑up and equipment access, and brief managers on check‑ins. A follow‑up survey shows higher confidence returning, faster ramp‑up and fewer support requests, tracked in Jira Service Management so you can see what changed.
Create surveys with Rovo
To create a survey with Rovo from Surveys in Jira Service Management:
From the space navigation on the left, select Surveys.
Select Create survey, then Create with Rovo.
Describe the goal and audience in the prompt box or get started with our ready-to-use prompts available to select
Rovo then drafts a preview of the survey. If you want to edit or refine the survey, you can chat with Rovo to make updates and reflect in the preview accordingly.
Once you’re happy, select Create survey.
By default, your newly created survey will have draft status assigned - so you can continue to modify as needed and publish when you’re ready.
More about publishing and sharing surveys
You can also create a survey using Ask Rovo in the top navigation on your site. Select Ask Rovo and in the chat, enter /create-survey then describe your goal and audience, submit and Rovo drafts a preview of the survey. Continue refining with chat back to Rovo as required.
