Fresh terminology for automation rules and components

An automation ‘rule’ is now a ‘flow', and a ‘component’ is now a 'step’. You may notice some inconsistencies in the documentation while we make this change. Read more about the updates in Automation

Manually add subscribers to a status page

Status pages are available only on Service Collection Enterprise plan. To access this capability, you must subscribe to a Service Collection Enterprise plan.

As a product admin, you can manually add subscribers to your status page in Jira Service Management so they receive email notifications for incidents and maintenance updates. This is useful when a stakeholder requests to be added, or when you need to onboard a specific audience quickly without waiting for them to self-subscribe. You can only add subscribers to live status pages, not to pages in draft or archive state.

Before you begin

Before manually adding subscribers:

  • Make sure you’re a Jira Service Management app admin.

  • Keep a list of valid subscriber email address handy.

  • Get explicit consent from subscribers before adding them to the Status page subscription list. By adding them manually, you confirm on their behalf that they've given consent.

Manually add a subscriber

  1. In Jira Service Management, go to Operations and select Status pages.

  2. Select the status page where you want to add subscribers.

  3. Select Subscribers.

  4. Select Add subscriber.

  5. Enter the subscriber's email address.

  6. Select Add.

You can add up to 10 individual email addresses at a time. Distribution lists aren't supported. To add more subscribers, repeat the steps to manually add a subscriber.

Once added, the subscriber is immediately marked as active and will start receiving email notifications. A confirmation email with an unsubscribe link is automatically sent to the subscriber.

  • The subscriber appears immediately on the Subscription tab with an Active status.

  • A confirmation email is sent to the subscriber, including an unsubscribe link so they can opt out at any time.

Manage duplicate subscribers

If the email address you enter is already subscribed to the page with the same preferences, you won’t be able to add them again. You won’t be able to add the same subscriber twice.

You can subscribe the same email address to multiple status pages as subscriptions are tracked per status page.

View and manage the subscriber list

All subscribers, whether they self-subscribed or were manually added, appear in the Subscribers tab of your status page settings. From here you can:

  • View each subscriber's email, status, and how they were added.

  • Remove subscribers by selecting the more actions icon (···) and selecting Delete.
