Link multiple knowledge sources to a knowledge base
You can link more than one knowledge source to a Jira Service Management knowledge base. This lets your help center, knowledge base search, and Virtual Service Agent use content from native Confluence spaces, cross-site Confluence spaces, and third-party folders at the same time.
If you want to link third-party folders, set up the connector first. See Connect third-party knowledge sources for customer service agents.
What you can link
A Confluence space on the same site
A Confluence space on a different site in the same organization
A specific folder within a Confluence space, instead of the whole space. See Link a Confluence folder to your knowledge base.
A third-party folder, such as a Google Drive or SharePoint folder
Before you begin
You need admin access to manage the knowledge base.
For third-party folders, complete the connector setup first.
For a Confluence space on a different site, the sites must be in the same organization and you need the required space access.
Link a knowledge source
Go to KB Settings.
Select Confluence or 3p Sources.
Link the spaces.
Manage linked sources
After a source is linked, its articles appear in the Articles tab. You can unlink a source one at a time or unlink several sources at once.
Where linked content appears
The Articles tab
Help center search
Virtual Service Agent search
After you link a source, it can take a few seconds before the content appears in search.
