Manage your blocklist

Messages received from domains or email addresses in your blocklist are always filtered out. Add domains and email addresses to your blocklist to prevent them from being received. T

To further reduce unwanted emails, configure email filtering rules in your inbox to move unwanted emails (based on subject or sender, for example) to a separate folder before Jira processes them.

You must be a space admin to add, edit, or remove domains and email addresses from the blocklist. Read about global and space permissions.

Add a domain or email address to your blocklist

  1. Select Channels & self service, then Email.

  2. Select More (), then Manage blocklist.

  3. Select + Add email address or domain.

  4. Enter the domain name (do not include @), or the specific email address you want to block.

  5. Select Save ().

For example, you can block promotional emails by adding the email addresses that send them to your blocklist.

Edit a domain or email address on your blocklist

  1. Select Channels & self service, then Email.

  2. Select More (), then Manage blocklist.

  3. Select Edit next to the domain or email address you want to change.

  4. Edit the domain or email address > Save ().

Delete a domain or email address from your blocklist

  1. Select Channels & self service, then Email.

  2. Select More (), then Manage blocklist.

  3. Select Delete next to the domain or email address you want to delete.

To ensure messages from specific domains are always received, add them to your allowlist.

Blocklists only support exact domain matching. For example, adding the domain 'example.com' will match 'anyuser@example.com' but not 'anyuser@example.com.au' or 'anyuser@mail.example.com'.

The blocklist does not currently support wildcards or pattern matching.
