Switch between views for different ways to visualize your work items
There are three ways to view your work items in Queues and Views: as a list, board, or calendar.
You can choose the view that suits how your team likes to work, or add multiple views and switch between them to benefit from the different ways of visualizing your work items. Find out how to add different views to Queues and Views.
List
By default, all queues start with just a list view of your work, giving you an overview of all work items in the queue and their important details. The list view helps you quickly view, triage, and assign requests as they come in and are normally sorted by a service level agreement (SLA) or goal for your team's service interactions. You can add or remove a board or calendar view to any of your queues at any time. Read more about queues.
For projects with Views automatically enabled, you’ll get all three views (including the list view) by default. For projects where Views was manually toggled on (in Features in your project settings), only the views that were selected will be enabled.
Board
A board helps you visualize work and track the status of work items as they move through a workflow, allowing you to see at a glance work yet to be started, work in progress, and work that has been completed.
Each work item is represented by a card that you can move between columns on the board. Columns on your board are typically represented by the work processes your team follows. Your board comes with three default columns with a global status of To do, In progress, and Done.
You can drag your cards throughout the workflow to columns that reflect the relevant status. Cards in the first column on your board are always categorized as To do, while cards in the last column of your board are always categorized as Done.
Calendar
You can view and schedule work items across your Jira Service Management service projects using the calendar view. Like lists and boards, the calendar provides a different way to view your work items, focused on the date and time the work item is due, or the period of time over which the work will take place.
Viewing your work items in a calendar gives you a visual representation of your deadlines and project timelines, making it easier for your team to manage their tasks and time effectively. You can also use it to help identify any overlapping tasks or potential bottlenecks in your workflow, so that you can fix potential incidents before they become problems.
