Get started with Jira Service Management for admins
Your first stop for learning how to get started with Jira Service Management.
When creating a new project, we recommend our customer service management template which is designed to help you deliver great service experiences for your external customers. This template comes with the following editable request types:
Licensing and billing questions
Product trial questions
Report a bug
Suggest a new feature
Suggest improvement
Technical support
Other questions
Emailed request (hidden from portal)
If you’ve created a project using another template type, you can add or create new request types to suit your needs. You must be a project administrator to create or edit request types.
To create a request type:
From your service project, select Project settings, then Request management, then Request types.
Select Create request type.
Enter a name and description, and choose an icon and an issue type. Then select Next.
Choose a portal group, then select Create.
